Helpful tips
Does your saltwater/freshwater fish have small greyish growths growing on their skin? It is most likely that it has been infected with Lymphocystis, one of the most common fish virus for fish in salt or fresh water, and is not fatal. The virus can go away in a few days or take months to disappear. Lymphocystis causes the fish's cells to expand, usually many times their normal size. The skin's reaction is what you are seeing below on the clown fish's tail.
To prevent and treat Lymphocystis, using chemical filtration will kill open floating bacteria, and changing the water frequently will ensure that the tank stays clean.
